Conference Venue

The CollabTech 2025 Conference will be held at the Faculty of Humanities, University of Indonesia, Depok, in West Java, Indonesia. The campus is located on the outskirts of Jakarta, Indonesia’s capital city.

Conference Auditorium

The Faculty of Humanities, University of Indonesia is one of the greenest campuses in the Universitas Indonesia area. The main conference venue will be in the 9th Building Auditorium, which is equipped with a large jumbotron for presentations.

Travel Information to Depok

Depok is a city in West Java, Indonesia, located just south of Jakarta. It is one of the more densely populated areas outside Jakarta and is well known for its educational institutions, including Universitas Indonesia, one of Indonesia’s top universities. The city offers a vibrant student atmosphere, with a blend of urban and suburban environments, residential neighborhoods, shopping centers, and various cultural and culinary attractions.

Access to Depok

Jakarta’s Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) is the main gateway for international travelers. It is located approximately 50 km from Depok.

Transportation from the Airport to Depok

1. Regular Taxi / Online Taxi (Recommended)

  • Duration: Approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic.
  • Cost: Around IDR 250,000 (USD 15.47) – IDR 400,000 (USD 24.75) (prices may vary based on traffic).
  • Important Tips:
    • Use reputable taxi services such as Blue Bird or Silver Bird.
    • Alternatively, use ride-hailing apps like Gojek or Grab. Ensure you install the app on your phone before arriving in Jakarta.

2. Airport Shuttle Bus

  • Duration: Approximately 1.5 – 2 hours.
  • Cost: Approximately IDR 100,000 (USD 6.19).
  • Details:
    • Shuttle buses depart every hour from the airport terminal to Depok.
    • Look for HIBA or DAMRI buses at the airport shuttle bus stop (outside the terminal).
    • Ensure the bus destination is Depok before boarding.

3. Car Rental

  • Duration: Approximately 1 – 2 hours.
  • Cost: Around USD 65/day – USD 150/day, depending on the car type.
  • Details: Several rental car services are available at the airport.

4. Commuter Train

Note: Commuter trains can be crowded during peak hours, particularly from 15:00 WIB (Western Indonesian Time) onwards.

Route: Airport train to Manggarai Station → Commuter Line train to Universitas Indonesia Station.

Total Duration: Approximately 1.5 – 2 hours.

Commuter Line train to Universitas Indonesia Station: USD 3.09

Details:

Outside the airport terminal, take the shuttle train to the Airport Train Station.

At the airport train station, purchase a ticket from the vending machine.

The airport train will take you to Manggarai Station (Jakarta’s main train hub).

From Manggarai Station, transfer to a Commuter Line train heading to Depok – Bogor.

Get off at Universitas Indonesia Station.

Currency: The official currency of Indonesia is Rupiah (IDR). You can exchange currency at currency exchange shops inside the airport terminal. Several ATMs accepting VISA and Mastercard are also available at the airport.

Language: The primary language spoken in Indonesia is Bahasa Indonesia. However, in major cities like Jakarta, many locals can communicate in English, especially for directions and basic inquiries.

Transportation: We recommend installing a ride-hailing app such as Gojek or Grab for convenient travel around Depok and Jakarta, whether by car or motorbike.
