The Wonder of the Archipelago in One Park Taman Mini Indonesia Indah
Nestled in East Jakarta lies a breathtaking cultural haven that captures the essence of Indonesia in one magnificent space — Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII). Spanning over 150 hectares, TMII is not just an amusement park but a living stage of Indonesia’s diversity, blending culture, nature, and technology into a mesmerizing experience. Since its inauguration on April 20, 1975, inspired by former First Lady Siti Hartinah (Ibu Tien Soeharto), TMII has stood as a national treasure — a miniature of Indonesia’s unity in diversity.
What makes TMII truly unique is its ability to let visitors travel across the Indonesian archipelago without leaving Jakarta. Within its lush landscape, you can explore 33 regional pavilions, each showcasing traditional houses, local costumes, dances, and cuisines that represent the cultural soul of every province. Surrounding a lake shaped like the Indonesian archipelago, these pavilions display architectural masterpieces offering a vivid journey through the nation’s heritage.

Beyond its cultural wonders, TMII’s scenic beauty enchants every visitor. The park’s serene green areas, thematic gardens, and the miniature island lake create a peaceful escape in the midst of Jakarta’s hustle and bustle. After a massive revitalization project, inaugurated on September 1, 2023, TMII re-emerged with the concept of “Indonesia Opera”, built upon four main pillars: Green, Inclusive, Culture, and Smart. Now, 70% of the park is dedicated to green open space, with eco-friendly transport options like trams, electric scooters, and bicycles offering a clean and relaxing way to explore.
For art and culture enthusiasts, TMII is a living museum and cultural playground. Regular festivals, exhibitions, and live performances fill the air with rhythm and color, inviting visitors not only to watch but to participate — from dancing with local performers to tasting authentic regional delicacies.

Today, TMII stands as a modern, inclusive, and eco-conscious destination that remains faithful to its mission: celebrating Indonesia’s diversity in harmony. With its perfect blend of education, recreation, and cultural preservation, TMII promises an unforgettable journey through the heart of the archipelago.
✨ Come and experience the magic of TMII — where the beauty, spirit, and stories of Indonesia come alive in one magnificent park!
